This April I’ve brought a fantastic commission to life! The lovely owners of the soon to open KOKO, in Marske, asked me to design and paint one a wall in their new shop.
This funky new wall is inspired by the KOKO branding, plus a couple of additional elements I suggested to the clients (hearts and bubbles). Initially the design was going to be all black and white, but it developed to also include some bright orange elements (like their logo). The orange was added to the lettering, cups and some of the sets of hearts.
The whole wall was drawn freehand using the agreed elements, working around the frames and shape of the wall, so there is some natural variety to the design and you can see it is hand drawn rather than a digitally printed vinyl or wallpaper.
I’m really looking forward to the shop opening, once everything is completed – a huge amount of work from the owners has gone in to transforming this space.
